Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just one win at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title after the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt after March of 2023.
Success also means Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a event with my two daughters at once, so to secure a title is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his skill to perform at the elite level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
He defended four early-game break points in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
